Betty has extensive experience both in APAC and globally in Talent Management, Leadership Development, Organization Developmentand Diversity & Inclusion.She joins CBRE in 2020 to lead the Talent, Learning & Development, and D&Iin APAC Region, anda member of Global People Experiences Leadership Team, focusing on improving overall employees’ experiences @ CBRE.

In her most recent role before joining CBRE, she was VP Organization Development and Training in Galaxy Entertainment, leading a strong team of internal consultants, functional experts and dual-role trainers to design, develop and deploy organization development programs, leadership & management training, tailor-made target learning embedded in process improvement and SOP training, cultural change and professional skills training for 20,000 team members of Galaxy Entertainment Group in Macau.Betty also spearheaded the development of the talent management, development and assessment strategy and practices for the group to prepare for the next phases of development for GEG in Macau, China and overseas operations.

Before joining Galaxy Entertainment Group, Betty worked for Unilever as the Global Learning Director, Leadership & Business Skills. She led Leadership & Business Skills, Learning Analytics and coaching globally. In addition, her team also provided consultation for geographical and category talent teams for customized solutions. Her role included managing the Unilever Learning Center -Four Acres Singapore to collaborate with EDB to support the development of Singapore as a global learning hub.

Before joining Unilever, Betty worked for Novartis, where she spent 5 years in the HQ in Basel, Switzerland as Program Director. There, she spear-headed the establishment of Novartis China University, Novartis Russia Corporate University and the CEO-sponsored LEAD program focusing on developing talents in emerging markets. Her desire for hands-on experience brought herto China, from 2012 to July 2013, where she was Head of Novartis China University, responsible for leadership development and commercial capabilities building, providing learning programs for 8,000 staff in China. During her time in China, she worked closely with the leadership team to prepare for the launch of a new business model before the implementation of the China Healthcare Reform to ensure sustainability of businesses in China.

Betty was appointed as Member of the Lifelong Learning Council in October 2014 .The Lifelong Learning Council (Singapore Government, SkillsFuture Singapore) aims to help people of all ages develop a habit of continual learning for a more purposeful and productive life in Singapore.She is the Advisory Board Member for Executive Development Associates, a boutique consulting firm, specializing in the strategic use of executive development. She is also a member of IMD’s Executive Education Advisory Council (EEAC), an advisory body to IMD. The council’s role is to provide IMD with feedback and input that will enable IMD to best serve the executive education and organizational development needs of IMD’s current and future learning partners.
